A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Lord of healing and light, we do at times grow weary in doing what is right. We see so much suffering around us and we want to relieve it all. You have sent us into the world to be bearers of your light and love, but you have not sent us alone. Remind us that we are part of the beloved community of believers who seek to follow in your love. May we be those who carry your peace to all whom we encounter. May that peace bring relief, healing, comfort and hope. May we declare that your Kin-dom has come near to all those in need. Even when we face rejection, strengthen our commitment to carry on the mission of your love. Strengthen our resolve, enliven our hearts, renew our courage and teach us to look for every opportunity to do good in your name. We pray this in community with all those who seek to live faithfully in your world as we work toward the new creation that you envision for all. Amen. By Rev. Dr. Wesley Palmer, Executive Director of the Preachers' Aid Society Inspired by Galatians 6: 7-17 and Luke 10: 1-11, 16-20
