A daily prayer from the New England Conference

Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.

You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.

Today's Prayer

Read Acts 9: 1-20 Lord, we have been thrown to the ground. The days and weeks and months and years have been filled with one hit after another, from pandemic to political upheaval to violence and heartache and more. So much more. So many hits. We have been knocked to the ground. And each hit makes it harder to see, Lord. Harder to see love. Harder to see hope. Harder to see a way forward. Like Paul, we need the help of a stranger. Someone unknown to us but who can see a little better. Who hears a little better. Who can be a sign and instrument of love for us. We are on the ground, Lord. The cracks are showing, Lord. May your love rush in, through the cracks and the cracking and the crackling, may love rush in. Let love rush in. Amen. Written by Rev. Rick McKinley, Conference Director of Congregational Development
