A Daily Devotion for Wednesday, November 3

Revelation 21:4

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

The book of Revelation is pretty much a mystery to me. From this passage I am reminded God is ultimately in control of all healing. I am comforted by the words because they remind me of God’s power and love for us, and of His promise. Eternal health will be ours once we are with Him.

Father God, there is so much I do not understand. I know you are in control of our healing. Do we spend too much time worrying about our health here on earth? Help me, Lord, to count more on you and to worry less about today. Amen

Revelation 21:4

I may not understand why we have to endure some of the things in life that cause such heart-ache and pain, but let me never forget that his vision is broader than my narrow view. He is always my/our help when in trouble yesterday, today, and tomorrow .A day is already set in heaven when God will wipe away all tears. And that is a day that we will all witness. Every day we must never forget that in this world of sickness and sin, hardship and pain we have a Saviour, Who understands far beyond our human abilities. God's gift of the Holy Spirit that dwells within each of us gives faith, comfort and healing. w…

Revelations 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

RIP. Rest in peace is something many people say regardless of their religious beliefs. We believe that death is the end of suffering, but as Christians we believe that suffering ends and a wonderful existence begins. Max Lucado wrote on a similar subject today. He said that suffering can lead to a healing of the heart if we concentrate on God.

Dear Lord, thank you for offering us this relieve from our everyday suffering. Our silver lining is You. Amen.

Revelations 21: 4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

This verse sends a healing message to my soul. It is full of hope and a trustworthy message that this life we are living in now will pass away and the next life with Jesus will be nothing but joy. Imaging a heaven with no death, no mourning, crying or pain is wonderful to think about. Meanwhile, I am charged with working for the Lord building and working for that wonderful day when we are with God in eternity.

Dearest Lord, I praise you and thank you for…

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. To be honest, this has always been my belief of what I hope heaven will be like when I die. To read that Christ’s second coming will bring a “new heaven and a new earth” is difficult to understand. I think I will simply believe that at some point, whether in heaven after death, or in a new heaven and earth we will all be healed of all that troubles us. There is so much hope in this verse. Prayer: gracious God while I often do not fully understand your words, they give me…

Revelation 21:4 This has long been a favorite verse and it embodies hope that only faith can bring. Death, mourning, crying and pain are gone forever. Healing is eternal. This is such a glorious concept and given a career staring into the face of all these things time and time again, it represents a picture of heaven that bejeweled buildings and streets paved with gold cannot come close to rivaling. Eternal healing is heaven itself.

Prayer - Healing God, we know that we are in your eternal embrace. We shall rejoice when You bring our health to its fullness in the heavenly realm where there is no death, mourning, crying or pain. Amen
