Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Today’s chosen verses were from Psalm 23. I chose to post the KJV of the psalm because it is just so beautiful and poetic. (Also, it is the version I heard over and over as a kid in church, and it feels like the ‘real version’ to me!😇) I only memorized it as an adult, and now I go to it frequently. It is so complete- it says so many different things about our relationship with God. One of my favorite parts is , “Thou preparest a table for me in the presence of my enemies…” No matter what is going on around us, God is taking care of us, making sure we have what we need. I love this psalm❤️❤️❤️!
Holy Lord, thank you for the gift of scripture. It is a blessing which I hope to never take for granted. Amen

The right path
(Focus: those who been in a car accident
Psalm 23:3-4
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23 is one of most familiar Psalms frequently quoted in times of death or great sorrow. It’s so familiar to many of us that it’s easy to repeat the verses and not linger to understand what each one is saying to us. I want to concentrate on 23:4 this morning
Even though I walk…
Psalm 23
That today’s reading is Psalm 23 proves yet again God is the source of “strange coincidences.” This psalm was an integral part of our first Camino walk three years ago. Reciting it when the going got tough helped get through those difficult patches. This is a demonstration of the Word of God as a living entity like no other mere book. It sustains, nurtures and strengthens anyone who reads it with an open heart and open mind.
Prayer - Lord, thy Word is a lamp into my feet and a light into my path. I thank you for this day of rest and may it refresh me to start anew tomorrow. Amen
