Psalm 71:8
My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.
Psalm 150:6
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
“Declaring your splendor all day long.” This is certainly a lofty goal, but also a very real one. There is never a good time to ignore God, or try to leave him out of anything. My goal is to grow closer and closer to God; to turn to him more often and communicate more consistently. This includes thanking and praising God for all he has done.
Father above, you are more wonderful than any words can describe. You are most powerful. Yet you look down on me with love. I am forever grateful. Amen

Psalm 71:8
My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.
The theme of this psalm is giving thanks to God for his constant help-from childhood to old age. telling what God has done for us. God wants us to continually praise him. Once we are serious about this praise our burdens and troubles seem to lessen, I believe it is the power of the holy spirit with thanksgiving. Giving thanks to God for all the good in our lives it surely helps us not to be so focused on our worldly problems. God wants us to be grateful, filled with gratitude not only toward God, but also toward others.
Psalm 150:6
Let…
Psalm 71:8 and Psalm150:6 That is why I can never stop praising you, I declare your glory all day long. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord. Praise is worship. Worship is praise. Psalm 150:6 is the last line of all the Psalms. It is the perfect ending to all these beautiful verses. And it is another reminder that we should be praising the Lord daily as we go through our journey of life. Prayer gracious God, Lord I’ve learned through these verses that simply thanking and praising you during my day is an act of worship. Amen
Psalm 71:8 My mouth is filled with your praise declaring your splendor all day long.
Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
My goal in this life is to praise God in all that I do. He is the reason I exist and the reason I have my faith. I don’t have to shout it out loud walking down the street, I just need to praise him in prayer and thanksgiving daily for all the great things He has done for me.
Dearest Lord, you are always on my mind and in my heart. You are a wonderful God. I praise you because you are holy and loving and good. You are the rock…
Psalm 71:8/Psalm 150:6
Praise is how to thank God for the opportunity to serve Him for another day, indeed for the very breath I have been given. Eberhard Arnold addresses tackling a new day with these encouraging words.
“Have the patience and courage to begin again anew each day, and trust in God’s help; his mercy is new every morning. Then you will understand that life is always a matter of becoming or growing, and that you must always look forward to the greater things. Even though you stand in battle with dark powers, the victory will be yours, since in Christ every evil is overcome.”
