A Daily Devotion for Tuesday, May 18

Joel 2:28-32

verse 28-29: “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people, Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.“

God has followed through on this most excellent and wonderful promise. We all have received the Holy Spirit, just by asking and believing. I want to know what I am capable of, with God’s Holy Spirit living in me. Certainly it is more than I can imagine. Maybe this is a place to begin new growth. I will listen for God’s direction and voice, through his Holy Spirit.

Holy One, you have filled me with your Holy Spirit. I want to to what you would have me do, and be who you would have me be. Guide me, God. I am listening for you. Amen

We don’t know how God will reveal Himself to anyone other than ourselves, but we have hope for our fellow humans, especially those we love, that God wants all to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. Our witness can move that process forward. We are God’s witnesses and…
