Lamentations 3:25-26
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
A Lamentations Haiku
Best to hope in Him,
For salvation seek Him out.
Then quietly wait.
I am getting a sense of the point this week- we will never know, understand or predict God’s timing. But we can learn to live with it, and to be patient and loving in the process. (Also wondering if the entire Bible should next be offered in Haiku form.)
Holy Lord, your timing is beyond my understanding. I must be patient. I love you and your forgiveness, your grace and your generosity. Hold me close, I pray, as I seek you out. Amen

Lamentations 3:25-26
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him. It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
I don’t know anyone who likes to wait. I know I don’t’. I am often reminded of the lord’s command when standing in line for any occassion, , grocery store, the DMV, etc, a small voice will say to me, this is a test in patience, just wait and be thankful. This more often than not, does work for me. Waiting is hard work and, at times, can even test our faith. It’s especially difficult when there are no guarantees that our waiting will ever end…
Lamentations 3:25-26
The picture of this tulip helps me to understand this scripture, waiting isn’t easy but how beautiful is the reward looking to the center is a burst of sun even if you think the flower is past.
So patience is not my best quality I’m one that wants results right away and on to the next thing
My prayer
Dear Lord thank you for the beauty you give to me help me to have more patiences with the hurry up and wait . Help me to take time to smell the roses and know that you are there always. Amen
Lamentations 3:25-26
"it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." Every parent has heard it - "Are we there yet?" On the surface, it is a silly question. If we were there, it would be obvious. The child is more likely expressing their desire to be at their destination, perhaps growing impatient with the long ride required to get there. My long ride toward sanctification has been filled with potholes, detours and outright wrong turns. I grow frustrated, impatient and wrestle with the temptation of thinking I can figure out a shortcut and get to God my way. In this season of life, the wisdom in waiting has become clearer. It is not exactly much easier,…
