A Daily Devotion for Tuesday, January 19

2 Corinthians 2:10-16
verses 14-15: But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
Every single thing done in God’s name, with the goal of mirroring God’s love, can leave behind the fragrance of Christ. This is what defines these acts of love and kindness as different, and special. They are acts done in love, for the glory of God. These acts may be small and seemingly insignificant, or they may be huge self-sacrificing events. If I have Christ in mind whenever I meet with others, I can be an ambassador for Him. I represent His love, and need to remember this. I must be mindful of what I leave behind.
Heavenly Father, May I leave behind the fragrance of Christ. Amen
