Job 12:7-10
"But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth , and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind."
That last sentence pretty much sums it up; "In his hand is the life of every living creature and the breath of all mankind." When my life is feeling out of (my) control, it is. And Job, of all people, understood what this can feel like. Ultimately, we can do our very best, and things still may go "wrong" in our own eyes. We are not able to control every little thing, or every big thing, either. But God is in control. If we believe we are here for a purpose, we must believe the obstacles and hardships have a purpose as well.
Holy Lord, you are in control. You lead me and keep me on path. I am so grateful, and I pray I will be able to accept each hardship which comes my way, and learn from them. You have been so very generous and loving. Amen

lord, I ask that you breath into us your breath of life. Refresh us and renew us in you so we continue to stay strong during these troubled times As we share your word Lord, allow it to penetrate our hearts so we may share with the people of this world…… amen
Breathe into me oh Lord, the breath of life So that my spirit would be whole And my soul made right Breathe into me oh Lord, day by day So that my heart is pure before You, always, always Unto Thee oh Lord do I lift up my soul It’s only by Your hand That I can be made whole So Lord breathe on me And revive my spirit within And I’ll never be the same

Job 12:7-10
As I read these verses, I see how our natural environment is all meant to work together. Each creature knows their worth and what job they should do. We, humans, are a part of that. Sometimes we think we are the most important part, but I believe we are learning that we are only a small part of the whole. As Bishop Peggy mentioned Sunday even the itty bitty firefly has a role to play. We’ve only recently learned that it is an important role. We must take care of every creature in our universe. We never know which one could someday save our life or maybe even save the world.

Job 12:7-10
“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.
Job was full of contempt for his friend. He begins his defense with a biting sarcastic response to Zophar, who was being self-conceited, and having a high opinion of his own wisdom. Of course Job knew who God was. Great in wisdo…
Job 12:6-10
I also can relate to Job, with all that I personally am going through, the unknown, the frustration, turmoil, uncertainty, the helplessness and the fear. It reminds me of two very important things that we hear and pray, the 23rd Psalm and the Lords Prayer, and most importantly I’m not alone and yes I have fears but if you ask the bird in the sky, the Lord is my Shepherd and Our Father it all comes together..
Dear Lord, help me to recognize you everyday, in all that I see and all that I hear and help me to do you will.. Amen
