Galatians 6:1-6
Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load. Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
Life can be very complicated, as Paul’s advice addresses. We should love one another and help carry each other’s load, but at the same time, each must carry their own load. There are times when it is right and compassionate and Christ-like to pick up another’s burden. But there are times when it is best to allow another to do for him/herself. I believe that when we act in love, and avoid acts of selfishness, we will remain on God’s path.
Holy Lord, help me to be compassionate and loving while respecting other’s autonomy and dignity. Amen

Galatians 6:1-6.
With these verses Paul is teaching us how to live in and with community. We are to help those who may have sinned, not judge them. We are then told to bear each others burdens. This will teach us empathy and understanding. Only in this way can we hope to truly understand one another. If we unerstand one another there should be no envy and we shoulod be sharing the good news of God's word with each other. This is how to live in community with one another.
Prayer: Gracious God, help me to always follow Paul's example of a community memeber. AMEN
Galatians 6:1-6
This passage tells me to stay humble. Paul warns, “ consider yourself less you also be tempted”. Pride is like having blinders, it prevents me from seeing the whole picture. I make mistakes, we all make mistakes and we all need God’s Grace. So when those around me fall, I must help them, I must not act like I am better and need to be thankful always for those who help me.
Dear God, please help me to be kind when others make mistakes. Please help me to keep my pride and arrogance in check and please give me a humble and loving heart. Amen.

FAITH EFFORT
(Focus someone pursuing a goal
Today’s reading Galatians 6:1-6. Doing good for all not just yourself.
Galatians 6:4
But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor.
This verse encourages us to focus on our own faithfulness rather than comparing ourselves to others. Paul is not encouraging pridefulness but to evaluate our own lives honestly and take personal responsibility for our actions. Comparison can be a dangerous trap. We shouldn’t look at others and feel superior, thinking we are more righteous, knowledgeable, or successful. Instead of trying to be better than others, we should strive to be faithful in…
Galatians 6:1-6
The focus verse from this morning’s passage had to do with taking appropriate pride in what you can do and avoiding comparison with others who have different or greater gifts and talents. Life can be competitive, but it does not have to be adversarial all the time. There is more contentment and peace found in celebrating the success of others than in feeling envious and somehow diminished if someone accomplishes more or does a job better than I. We each have our own gifts and the only competition to do more or better should be with myself for the Lord.
Prayer - God of all gifts, Your word says all perfect gifts come from above. May I always…
