A Daily Devotion for Tuesday, April 11

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

No matter what happens to me today, Jesus will not change. He will still be here, his Holy Spirit living within me, leading me through. This is true security. The world changes so quickly, and we have so little control. But Jesus covers that. We are secure in following His teaching, because that teaching will not change, and does not need to change. Whatever we experience, Jesus is our security.

Holy One, today I am thankful for the security you provide for me. You have shown us your love is constant and unchanging by sending us Jesus. No matter what happens in this world, Jesus and his teachings do not change. For this I am thankful. Amen

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

This is truly an important verse in today’s crazy, changing world. We all need the security of knowing Jesus loves us no matter what. That consistency is so important to me. It is his words that I should cling to—not man’s.

Prayer: gracious God, thank you for your son Jesus and all he offers to each of us. Amen

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

This is one of the best life verse’s. A verse from the Bible that speaks to us in a very special way. It seems as if it were put in God’s Word just for us.

The unchangeable nature of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, a forever assurance that His Word is faithful, His promises are true, His saving grace is free to all who trust in Him for salvation, and none of the many precious promises contained in the Word of God can ever fail. Truly he is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. This is security.

Lord, Thank You that Your goodness and grace…

Hebrews 13:8 There is genuine security in the knowledge imparted by this verse. The word used in seminary for this attribute of God is immutable. Earthly circumstances change, sometimes slowly, sometimes overnight. This can leave us disoriented, disillusioned and depressed. Even if Jesus is our only constant, that is enough to navigate the twists and turns of this life.

Prayer - Unchanging Jesus, thank You for Your constant, steady and dependable hand in my life. In a world of constant change, You remain the rock that stabilizes the day to day. This security is a blessing beyond measure. Amen
