Ephesians 2:4-5
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved.
God healed our relationship with him by sending Jesus Christ. This healing gift was not earned, it was freely given. This is grace. I cannot ever be or act in a way deserving of this gift. This grace comes from a love greater than my understanding.
Holy God, I know I can never live up to any standard which would “deserve” your love. But I do accept your love, as a gift born of your grace. I will remember my promises to you, to strive to live my life worthy of your love. Amen

Ephesians 2:4-5 I love when a verse says “But God.” This is a not so subtle reminder that despite our sin and despite our good works, it is God’s rich mercy and love that saves us. Although we are instructed to do good works in his name, it is simply God’s grace and love for us that offers us salvation. Prayer, Gracious God The depth of your mercy and love are unfathomable to me. What a gift you have given me. Amen
Ephesians 2: 4-5 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
God’s grace is available to us at all times. It helps us deal with all of the problems we need to face. God’s grace forgives us. God’s grace frees us from sin. It is through God’s grace that we are enabled to be all that God intends us to be.
Dearest Lord, I am not worthy of the grace you shower upon me. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the grace to live this life on earth. In Jesus name …
Ephesians 2: 4-5
The grace of God is more than salvation, it’s everything we need for a life devoted To him. The definition of grace could be the undeserved love and favor of God. It is through grace that God works the changes in our hearts and lives. Grace gives us a new life which is not condemned by God. Through God's grace we are forgiven, transforming our thinking, resulting in the renewal of our mind and heart. (Romans 12:2).Through grace we live the kind of life that God would like every one of His children to experience. How many times have I repeated “for by the grace of God go I” God is at work in me, this plea…
Ephesians 2:4-5 - “. . . made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions . . .”
The thing on earth that most closely compares with God’s grace to me is parental love of a struggling child. Whether it be repeated stints in rehab or time in prison, I have watched parents remain committed to the love they have had for that child since he or she was born. This love does not simply excuse or enable bad choices. It recognizes them for what they are, lets the consequences unfold, but loves their child through all of it. In my repeated sin, I remain a child of God who benefits from God’s limitless love, whose mercie…
