Philippians 4: 6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The trust needed to take this step need not be mature and rock solid. But we need to trust enough to take the step and ask God for help. Peace invariably follows. In my experience, God is unfailingly generous with peace. The more I can turn away from counting on myself and turn toward God, the stronger my relationship with Him, and the stronger my trust.
Peace, like rain falls down
On those who choose to get wet.
They trust to ask God.
Father God, a haiku poem for you from me. Amen

Philippians 4: 6-7
"Have no anxiety about anything; ...". This promise is powerful beyond comprehension as it applies to each and every one of us.
Prayer - Thank you Lord for these promptings that seem to come out of the ether, quite apart from what we are currently thinking, and prove to be exactly that which we need.
Amen
Philippines 4:6–7 When I first read this this morning, I said to myself – that’s what I do or try to do about my concerns. Then, reading on, it says thank him for everything. I am thinking of all of our conversations with Kay who thanks first then asks. This seems a better way. Try to start each prayer with a thank you. It seems the right thing to do. Prayer: Gracious God, Thank you for all you’ve done and continue to do for me. I am blessed by your words. Amen

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Because we trust him, we can always give our worries and concerns to God because he cares and he knows that we need his help. As long as we are worrying we are not trusting God. It is only by having a strong faith and confidence through prayer and by reading his word, can we truly learn to trust him. I have made the decision to pray and seek God’ help instead of…

When I think of trusting in God and not being anxious, it seems easy to me. In my current life situation, I have nothing serious to be anxious about. I do remember times during my long life when God was there for me, and gave me the strength to carry on.
Dear Lord, thank you for being there for me when I needed you. I know you will be there for me in the future. Amen.

Paul is telling us that we should not worry about anything. This doesn’t mean that I should have a couldn’t care less attitude, but that I should look to God for help when I feel this way. Worry accomplices nothing. I have been a worrier all my life, but recently, I have found peace in Christ and a peace within. Trusting in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit leads me to peace.
Dearest Lord, you have calmed…
