Psalm 105:1-7
Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.
Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
you his servants, the descendants of Abraham,
his chosen ones, the children of Jacob.
He is the LORD our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.
I Chronicles 16:11
Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.
Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me,
and those who seek me find me.
These verses today and even the devotion are mirroring the message from yesterday for me. We are to constantly be looking to God, seeking, turning and praying to Him. Not just sometimes, but all of the time. When we seek God, God finds us. I would love to live my life continually in awareness of God’s presence. I have some changes to make, and some things to eliminate from my life for that to become my reality, but I am working on it.
Father God, your Holy Spirit is my constant companion, and I am so thankful. Help me to be an attentive host. Amen

Turning toward God
Focus Gardeners
Today’s reading psalm 105:1-7
1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!
This verse is part of a larger psalm of praise and thanksgiving written by King David. It strongly advises us as we worship, to rely on God’s presence and power continually rather than our own human strength. It serves as a reminder to prioritize a personal relationship with God and to trust in his power. It is an encouragement to make seeking God a daily, active lifestyle—not just in a crisis,but recognizing him as the source of strength each day. I make prayer a daily habit: by starting and ending each day with prayer,…
Psalm 105:1-7. 1 Chronicles 16:11. Turning toward God
Like the sunflowers following the sun, David reminds us to search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him. (v4). Jesus also reminds us 'Everyone who seeks, finds." (Matthew 7:8). It couldn't be clearer for us. As today's author says, God is not hiding from us. We transformers know where we can turn--our Bibles. All we need is right there.
Prayer: Gracious God, Your words are so important. May I never forget that! AMEN
Psalm 105:1-7/ Chronicles 16:11
The sunflower analogy in this morning’s Upper Room was almost as good as Katie’s blackberry analogy yesterday. Even plants can teach us a lot about God’s steadfast presence, power and love for creation, including us. God’s “face” is in all these actions and events, the thin spaces that reveal God’s presence. If we do not avidly seek them, we miss them as Satan, who is also present, works so hard to distract us with hardships, hatred, violence and despair. I turn my face from these distractions to seek and find the face of God.
Prayer - Father, Son, Spirit, I seek to follow You more closely and to know and be known by You more deeply. Help…
