1Timothy: 4-5
For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with Thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
There are so many ways to let my mind and heart go when I read this passage. God has provided so much for us; everything that is beautiful comes from God. All of the animals and plants of the earth, God created for us. All of the people, in every shape and size, with every personal like and dislike, God created for a reason. We are to love it all, love them all, and be good stewards. These truths fill my heart this morning.
Holy Father, how can I show my thanks to you? You have provided for me and provided for all your creation, so very many beautiful things. May I respect and care for all of your creation. Amen

1 Timothy 4: 4-5
After each day in the book of Genesis’ creation ,when God made something, the Bible says, God saw, and it was good. And not just good, but very good. In The beginning his creation was the way He wanted it to be. It was exactly what He desired. It reflected who he was. The world that we experience today still contains much beauty and wonder and it is all good. Radiant flowers, laughing babies, high mountains, etc. but it also contains pain, suffering, disease and death. Even after sin came into the world the goodness of creation remained! Sin might distort the goodness of creation, but it can’t make what God has said untrue. Creation is s…
1 Timothy 4: 4-5
4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
I know that everything that God created is good. That doesn’t mean that I can overindulge when I eat, or spend money on things just to have them. It means that I need to thank God every day for the wonderful life he has given me to share with my husband, children, relatives and friends. To me it means that even when something unexpected rocks my world that I need to thank God for the challenge. I need to realize that God doesn’t give me…
1 Timothy 4:4-5
For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected, IF it is received with thanksgiving,
The “if” in this verse is the key. Our attitude makes the difference between being happy and satisfied with our lives or being unhappy and discouraged. Someone very close to me sings as she get ready for the day and greets me with a big smile. It has an effect on her view of life and it helps me as well. God gives us a simple choice.
Dear Lord thank you for giving me the choice to be thankful for all that you have made. It is all good. Amen.
1Timothy: 4-5 -“For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with Thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.“
I can’t help but wonder about the Wuhan virus and the growing suspicion it was a research lab creation as opposed to a naturally occurring organism. If indeed it was created by humans we are reaping the whirlwind. If it is natural, I struggle with finding a way to receive it with thanksgiving. Faith can be mysterious.
Prayer - God of all creation, I cannot comprehend your design in all its intricacies, but I receive with thanksgiving the glories of your creation that I can see hear and smell…
