Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
This is a very comforting verse for me. It reminds me that whatever the day brings, however I feel, whoever is kind or unkind to me, Jesus is the same. He is present, patient, forgiving, loving and generous. He does not get frustrated and does not give up on us. He is the same Jesus our parents, grandparents and great grandparents worshipped and prayed to. Jesus is the light shining on the path of every believer- yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Holy Lord, because you are the same yesterday today and tomorrow, I can put my trust in you. I find comfort in knowing you are the same and do not change even though the world continues to change and so little in the world can be depended upon. I am thankful, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

Hebrews 13:8
What comfort we can find in this verse. We all need some consistency in our lives. Today’s world is constantly changing and is often worrisome, BUT, we can count on and trust our Lord always. His words and actions are our guide. If we need someone to look up to and emulate, look no further than Jesus.
Prayer: Gracious God, I will always be trying to live by your words. You offer comfort in a crazy world. Amen

I don’t know about you, but I am so thankful that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for all future ages! With all the sweeping changes happening in the world right now, I thank God that Jesus isn’t one of them! Whoever He was in the past is who He is in the present and who He will be forever! The Jesus we find in the four gospels will be the same…
Hebrews 13:8
Our own transformation journey toward sanctification features the permanent signposts of God’s unchanging character. When hiking an established trail, hikers depend on blazes, small markings of a particular color on tree trunks or rock formations, to assure they are on the right path. God’s unchanging presence in our lives resembles these blazes. We may find ourselves off the transformation trail, but if we turn around and retrace out steps (repent), we will be met by the comforting image of a blaze assuring us of God’s eternal and unchanging presence that will guide us to our heavenly destination.
Prayer - Immutable God, I am so prone to take my eyes off Your blazes on this trail of life. Thank…
