Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O man, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
What does this verse tell me about God’s will? In an indirect way, it tells me everything that I need to know. God has been guiding His creation since the beginning of time. We have no control over others or their behavior. It is God’s desire that we lead our lives as described by Micah. If I live this life in a merciful, just, and humble way. I will be coming closer to God’s will for me.
Holy Lord, help me remember to be merciful, humble and just. You have created me with a heart full of love for you. Help me to live out your will. Amen

Micah 6:8 No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and that is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. If you want to know what God‘s will is for you, read this verse. I like the word require. It is not a suggestion or let’s give this a try. We are to do the right thing, be merciful to others, and be humble in our lives.. That said, it isn’t always easy. There are times when we falter, but this verse is always there to remind us of God’s requirements. Prayer: Gracious God, May I always turn to you when I need direction. Amen
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humble with your God.
I don’t mark up my bible very much, but this verse is highlighted. I think this is one of the easiest commands to live up to. I can treat people fairly, and be kind and sympathetic to them, and not feel bloated about myself.
Dear Lord, thank you for telling me to do something that I can accomplish. Amen.
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humble with your God.
This verse shows me what God requires of me. It is actually very simple, but at times can be difficult. God’s desire is that I should be like Him. I should think the same way, lead the same life and always have mercy on all I interact with. To always be honest with myself and acknowledge the things that are wrong. All these weaknesses can be overcome with the help of the Holy Spirit. In admitting my wrongs, a new way of thinking can be born. That…
Micah 6:8
I love this verse for its elegant simplicity. Pastor Jen’s sermon opening on the over 600 Jewish laws in Leviticus is the perfect counterpoint to this. Even today, there remains the human tendency to complicate faith and bury its essence under a plethora of shalls and shall nots. Micah’s distillation of God’s will to justice, mercy and humility is a far more effective way to bring others to faith than legalism. Thinking about Micah 6:8 brings two other perfect summaries of God’s will to mind. Jesus Himself distilled all the law and the prophets to love of God and love of neighbor. John Wesley‘s “Three Simple Rules,” is the other - “Do no harm. Do good. Stay in…

Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.
Humility is perhaps the most important virtue, and it is likely the most difficult to learn. People who walk humbly with God should be able to totally depend on him for all things.( this surely gives me pause for reflection) I should never think more highly about myself regarding others. I should never consider myself superior to anyone else. If I have a humble heart and attitude my humility shows in how I think, how I treat others as well as …
