Proverbs 28:13
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
Sometimes the opposite seems to happen, and people who cut corners and are dishonest end up "ahead." But I know this is not the prosperity we are after as Christian believers. When we are open and honest with God, confessing our sins and asking for forgiveness and direction, we grow closer to Him. When we have been forgiven, we need not concentrate on guilt. By God's awesome grace, we are found to be no longer guilty in His eyes.
Holy Lord, How could I ever hide my sin from you? You know my heart. Help me to do the right thing after I have done the wrong thing. Thank-you for forgiving me. Amen

Proverbs 28:13
We may think we can conceal our wrongs from God, but we cannot. He knows and sees all we do and don’t do. We cannot hide from him. If we know and believe this, then we realize we need to confess and discuss it with God. When we feel guilty, we need to confess. When we do this there is no need to feel shame because he forgives and hopefully we have learned a lesson we won’t repeat.
Prayer: gracious God, thank you for always being with me and offering forgiveness as necessary. Amen

Trying to conceal one’s sin brings the pressure of fear and insecurity at being exposed. Bearing a grudge brings the pressure of allowing another person to have control of your mind and emotions. Confession and forgiveness lance these tense, hot, painful boils and allow us to move forward feeling cleansed.
Prayer - Gracious God, Your mercies are made new each morning. My sins of yesterday were never hidden from You, yet in confession they have been forgiven. I ask, Lord, for the constant awareness that my sin of today must be confessed immediately and that nothing is hidden…

Proverbs 28:13
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
We must always trust in God. We should never attempt to conceal our sins. But even more dangerous than that, we would try to cover it up, try to conceal it and try to pretend that it didn’t happen. This is why we must always keep communications open with him. God is not surprised by my weakness and failures. He knows about my mistakes before I even make them. This requires total faith on my part to believe this. I am not God, and (there is no way I can ever even try to understand how he…
