Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
What can one say to this? I can say there are times when these "fruits" feel inaccessible. Conflicts can bring out a different set of "fruits". When we are taken over by anger, we are not in a right relationship with God. Practice, practice, practice.
Holy Lord, help me to see when I am out of sync with you. Help me to see the fruits of the Spirit as life-vests within my reach, always nearby if not in hand. Amen

Galatians 5:22-23
If we strive to have a good attitude, we must listen to the Holy Spirit. We do this by worshipping together, learning our Bibles, and much prayer. with these activities, come the fruits of the spirit. They don’t just happen, but as with most good things, it is our love of God and our trying to live the example Jesus set for us that brings these gifts into our lives.
Prayer: Gracious God, May I always be seeking you through your words and example. Amen

Galatians 5:22-23

The fruit of the Holy Spirit is in us as believers. As we practice the fruits of the spirit It must grow and mature. This can only occur when we study and use the fruit repeatedly. Love is the first of the fruit listed and self control is the last. Wonder why they are listed in that order. All the fruit grow from love and are kept in place by self-control. This involves being patient kind humble displaying good manners, not being selfish. Although it would be nice if I automaticall…
Galatians 5:22-23
This is telling me to get to the fruit you have to have the spirit, and sometimes I don’t feel the spirit because I worry too much
Dear Lord, help me to worry less and look for the fruit. Amen
Galatians 5:22-23 Our goal to live by the fruit of the Spirit becomes especially urgent when we contrast it to what Paul outlined as the “acts of the flesh” in verses 19-21 - sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like. When I think about which group appears to dominate the world around us, it can be disheartening. By calling to mind in prayer and meditation all the times I have experienced the fruit of the Spirit from others offers hope and the desire to live in kind, pushing back against the acts of the flesh.
