Hebrews 13:1-3
Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
Exodus 23:20
“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.”
We may be those very angels God is sending to help someone who needs His love. That is an awesome thought, and even kind of scary! I certainly don’t want to miss an opportunity God has specifically laid down in my path. How can I be more mindful of God’s will for me? I believe prayer is the way, open eyes, open heart, and the courage God has offered me over and over. I am so very thankful to God for His many blessings and opportunities. Opportunities for growth and for generous, selfless giving. Thank you, Lord. Amen

Hebrews 13:1-3. Exodus 23:20. God's Angels
I love both of these familiar verses. While I don't consider myself an angel, I do try to act like one. Many of us do without thinking we are special in any way. Whether it is Bev. smiling at her favorite cashier and speaking with her, or Becky's talent at the piano, or Tom's wonderful moderating our Transformer meetings, we are angels to others, sometimes without realizing it.
Prayer: Gracious God, help people look around and see all the angel-like actions they could be doing. AMEN
Hebrews 13:1-3 / Exodus 23:20
“Continue to remember those in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering”.
This makes me think of all the missionaries around the world, spreading the Word, many of whom are in dangerous places where they could be imprisoned for their work, many who have actually been put in prison, some who have been killed for their good work. They are angels spreading the Gospel and Word of God to those who, otherwise, would never know. I have never made the sacrifice that these missionaries make but I think of them, pray for them and praise God that He has put these angels in place to help our troubled world.

Hebrews 13:1-3/Exodus 23:20
The concept of guardian angels is not some cute, secular, Hallmark invention, but a Scriptural promise. There are times when we humans are given Holy Spirit power to serve a role usually reserved for angels as observed by this morning’s Upper Room contributor. A friend of mine has a ministry much like Bev’s. He greets shoppers with some sort of compliment and includes how much they are blessed. He saw a young couple with a toddler and said something like, “God has really blessed you with such a beautiful child.” They thanked him and all continued on their errands. A few
minutes later, the father saw my friend again, stopped him, and holding back tears said, “Thank…
