A Daily Devotion for Monday, July 6

Ephesians 1: 15-23

verse 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.

Is this the Holy Spirit which lives in me? The Spirit of wisdom and revelation? Sometimes I forget the power of the Holy Spirit, and what is possible when the Spirit works in me- in all of us. Do I accept the wisdom God has given me? I am sure there are many times I turn away from that wisdom and revelation because it is painful or seems too difficult to follow through. And I probably miss a lot of opportunities because I don’t pray enough or listen enough. God has given me the Spirit to be my helper and to lead me and guide me. I need to listen and have courage.

Father God, you live in me, as the Holy Spirit, and I am so thankful. Please help me to be aware of this power, at the same time knowing you are always in control. I am your willing servant. Amen
