Psalm 27:13-14
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
Psalm 130:5
I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
Again today this scripture speaks so directly to me. When I slow down and let God know that I especially need to feel near to Him, there He is! He is with me always, and it is me who turns away or forgets to follow Him. These last few days I have read so many prayers and scripture verses which carry this message from God: whatever you are going through, you will be stronger afterward. When we go through difficult times, we need to remember God is always here for us. He is ready to hold us and give us strength and comfort.
Holy Lord, I am so thankful to you for your presence and for the love you poured (and continue to pour) into your creation. Be with Bev and her family, as you always are. Help Bev to soak up your love, courage and strength to get through this difficult passage. May she know, always, how much she is loved. Amen

Pssalm 27:13-14. Worth the Wait
Luke today's author, I like tea and I like it strong. This mean a longer steeping time. Unlike the lesson the author learned about slowing down and listening to the birds during this time, I think OK now I can put out our vitamins, unload the dishwasher, and change out the kitchen towels. I do tend to focus on filling up time instead of slowing down and just relaxing. Tomorrow I will try to do it differently.
Prayer: Gracious God, Help me remember to slow down, not just at tea time, but more often than I isually do. AMEN
Psalm 27:13-14/Psalm 130:5
I have come to appreciate the book of Psalm a bit more in recent years. The difference, I suspect, is a bit more familiarity. I avoided reading them because I couldn’t relate, but daily reading of a psalm or two has brought their message for me in 2026 into better focus. Today is a great example. Slowing down, away from the noise of life and opening the senses to what the Holy Spirit has to say is a real gift. We are blessed to be up in Randolph this weekend where the weather has been beautiful and there is peace and quiet to be revelled in. I can think of no better way to get closer to…
