Romans 1:25
They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-- who is forever praised. Amen
The very first words of this verse can describe so much of the world today. "They exchanged the truth about God for a lie." I am sure these words describe me from time to time, as well. I hope the difference is, as a Christian, I am always trying to turn to God. When I don't, I am usually reminded to turn back. This makes me wonder today- what do I turn to if I am not turning to God?
Holy father, forgive me when I fail to turn to you for help or comfort. You are the source of all peace. Amen

Romans 1:25
Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
God will not tolerate any form of idolatry.
If we are worshiping idols we are sinful human beings in the darkness who need more of Jesus Christ but often turn to other things (idols) to satisfy that need. The danger comes when we seek the other things in our heart over God. This is when we fall into sin. Idol worship is anything I value above God and give this idol the place of God’s place in my life. Because I am a Christian My beliefs are that …
Romans 1:25 We are really no different than those to whom Paul was speaking. We often let things become more important than our faith. I know that I and the other members of this group work hard to keep our faith first in our lives. We know our direction and spend our time following God’s words to strengthen us. Prayer: gracious God, help me keep my faith strong so that I can more often resist the world’s temptations. Amen
Romans 1:25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Paul is telling me that I should never look to another form of worship other then the Lord Jesus Christ. God in his loving kindness and mercy has forgiven us as long as we turn from our sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dearest Lord, thank you for sending your Son to us for salvation. He died on the cross so that I can be saved. Please bring all those who do not believe in you to the knowledge and truth of knowing you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Romans 1:25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the creator – who is forever praised. Amen.
No matter where we live, we can see the wonders of God’s creation – even in large cities we can look up. How anyone could build idols and then worship them is beyond me. The only reason I can come up with is that idols will tolerate any behavior because they aren’t living Gods. The people can ignore the Spirit living in them because they worship an idol.
Romans 1:25
There are many layers to this plain truth, as valid today as at the time Paul wrote to the Romans. Idolatry is such a serious sin because it turns our attention, affection and devotion from God to what is ultimately a lie. In just the short period of our lifetimes, we have seen this take horrible shape in our culture. Despite being a nation undisputedly founded on Judeo-Christian principles, we have become increasingly unmoored from the faith and the tragic results are as plain as a glance at the headlines or even a walk down the street, particularly in a large city. The lies of atheism, unrestrained hedonism and "multiple truths" open the door to worship of just…
