Galatians 3:3
Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?
This speaks so clearly to me today. I often try to take over with my own mind, even though I know I have been asking God for help. I go over all kinds of scenarios, (some truly frightening), of all possible paths and outcomes. In the end, a way is made, and it is a good way because it is His. We can’t know God’s plan until he chooses to unfold it in front of us. But I must resist the temptation to make things right which are fully in His control. He is, indeed, the wind beneath my wings.
Holy Lord, God of answered and ‘unanswered’ prayers, God of mysteries and promises, you are my God. I lift you up this morning with love and gratitude. Amen

Galatians 3:3
I focused more on the Isaiah reading, especially 50:28…”His understanding is beyond human reach”. We “flap our wings” trying to understand and make human sense of God’s plan. I think I do a lot of wing flapping. I can lift a prayer to God for help and then turn around and try to figure out all the things I can do to manipulate a situation.. the more I genuinely turn my issues over to God, the calmer and more peace I will have.
Heavenly Father, please help me daily to always put my trust in You. I know You will be there for me and guide me to do Your will and to let You lead the way.…

Soaring like Eagles
(Focus: people overwhelmed with worry
Galatians 3:3
Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?
If humans (believers or non believers) latch onto doctrine that are not from scripture, it is dangerous — we might be thinking that this new idea will solve all our problems. Hundreds of Christians have gone through one remedy or another, whether it is a type of spiritual life, pleasure, friends, or a love affair. Will any of these practices be the answer to life, for no remedy can meet all our needs. We will never get on our mature spiritual journey with these substitutes . true believers receive…
Galatians 3:3 The Galatians were wavering in confusion. A church comprised of converted gentiles, they were being taught by Jewish-Christian missionaries that Paul was wrong and faith in Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit was not enough. They had to also keep the entire Mosaic Law. Hence Paul’s letter and the pointed message of verse 3. It was sadly true and. even more sadly. remains true today. It may not be Mosaic Law, but we prideful humans still often forget that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone. Being a “good person” (whatever that is) is not keeping a scorecard of doing nice things so that we will enter heaven. Paul says in chapter 2 of…
Isaiah 40:26-31 Soaring like Eagles
I could have written this devotion. The author and I have much in Common. Living on a lake, watching eagles, and worry. I know it's all about control. Control I don't need to have that leads to worry I shouldn't be doing. Obviously, God knew I needed this reminder today (and everyday).
Prayer: Gracious God, When will I learn to let things go and turn to you so I may have peace in the comfort you provide. AMEN
