Psalm 68: 3
But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.
God wants us to be happy and to be free of worry. But of course He knows what life on earth can bring. Part of the message of this passage for me is to look to God for happiness and peace. I won’t find it in earthly things.
Heavenly Father, you are always here with me, ready to give me peace. My happiness on earth revolves around my relationship with you. Help me to keep this in my mind and heart. Help me to share this truth whenever I have a chance. Show me, Lord. Amen

Psalm 68:3
But the righteous shall be glad; they shall rejoice before God; May they be happy and joyful
Jesus is the reason for our joy and our salvation. He gives us a reason for living. Those who do not know him believe they can fill their lives with other things, but this will leave them unsatisfied, constantly looking for those others things. Even 2000 years ago joy was sometimes absent even though Jesus walked among them. There was Job, David and Elijah, just to name a few. These men struggled, just as you and I experience periods of struggling in our Christian life today. When we are in Jesus Christ, we can be joyful …
Psalm 68:3 But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.
David is rejoicing in his relationship with God. Without God in our lives there is nothing. Without God’s kindness and love we may have sadness. Let me seek happiness from God and my soul will be filled with love.
Dearest Lord, thank you for the lessons from David. The messages from the Bible are reminders of your great love for me. May I always live my life in praise of your name. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Psalm 68: 3
The psalmist says “let the righteous rejoice.” Yet Paul writes, ”there is no one righteous, no, not one.“ Once again, another translation provided by Roz comes to my rescue. In it,“godly” takes the place of “righteous.” A little thing perhaps, but brings into focus the fact that earthly happiness, while it can be wonderful, is fickle and fleeting. Happiness that emanates from our relationship with God, taking the godly path toward righteousness or sanctification, is where eternal happiness lies.
Prayer - Righteous God, keep my feet on the path that leads me to be more like Jesus. On this journey is where I will find true happiness. Amen
Psalm 68:3 But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God‘s presence. Let them be filled with joy. Rejoice, be glad, be filled with joy. How many of us wake up each morning with these words on our lips. I know I don’t – but I also know I should. There is so much in my life to rejoice about. Although I am thankful, I think I need to go a step further and be filled with joy about my life. Prayer: gracious God May I begin each day with praise to you on my lips. Amen
