A daily prayer from the New England Conference

The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.

Today's Prayer

Based on Psalm 54 O God, Hear my prayer. Hear the prayers of your people. Listen to the words of my mouth. Listen to the words of your people. Give heed to my unspoken prayers and to the unspoken prayers of your people. Our hearts are heavy with concern for our loved ones, for our church families and for neighbors near and far. The woes of the world weigh heavily...injustice, oppression, hunger, poverty, racism, conflict, disease. Only you, O Lord, uphold and sustain us. Your faithfulness is unwavering. Uplift us. Embolden us to go forward with assurance— steadfast and filled with hope. With gratitude and thanksgiving we praise your holy name.
