A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Psalm 148 Remake Heavens and heights above, Sun, moon, and shining stars, Waters above the skies, You are created to last forever. Earth, mountains, and hills, Ocean depths and great sea creatures, Lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds, You are created to reflect God’s bidding. Fruit and cedar trees, Wild and domesticated animals, Tiny creatures and flying birds, You are created to never pass away. Humans in charge, humans who rule, Maps we draw and fight over, Young people, old people, We are created to be strong and close to God’s heart. There is no splendor in our destruction of what God has created. There is no hope when we take life rather than cherish and protect it. There is no praise in our failure to love the earth. We are created to be strong and close to God’s heart. We are created to last forever. We are created to reflect God’s bidding. We are created to never pass away. We are created to be strong and close to God’s heart. Praise God! By Rev. Jill Colley Robinson, Green Mountain District Superintendent
