Daily Prayer

July 25, 2021

A daily prayer from the New England Conference

The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions. Today’s Prayer

Triune God, through whom, from whom and for whom all things exist, we gather before you in prayer, asking that you would grant us strength for a time such as this. Loving Father, guide us through times of uncertainty, doubt and fear. Help us to see the abundant riches of your grace and glory. Empower us with a faith that is grounded in love of you and love of neighbor. May your Spirit indwell us, filling our hearts with love and compassion, our minds with wisdom and discernment, so that we might comprehend the love you have for us and become better representatives of Christ and His ways in all our thoughts, words and actions. We know that you are able to accomplish through us far more than we could ever imagine, and so we seek your continued favor. We ask all these things in the name and by the power of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit – one God, now and forever. Amen. Prayer inspired by Ephesians 3:14-21 Ken Blanchard, Pastor of Agawam UMC and Christ Church UM (Southwick), Commonwealth West District.
