A daily prayer from the New England Conference

Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.

You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.

Today's Prayer

Read John 12: 1 – 8 Come Lord, do not smile and say you are already with us. Millions do not know you, and to us who do, what is the difference? What is the point of your presence if our lives do not alter? Change our lives, shatter our complacency. Make your word our life’s purpose. Take away the quietness of a clear conscience. Press us uncomfortably. For only thus that other peace is made, your peace. Submitted by Rev. Rick McKinley, written by Dorn Helder Camara, Brazil, as printed in “Bread of Tomorrow,” edited by Janet Morley, pg. 68.
