2 Corinthians 5:21
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
This is one of the verses central to Tom’s sermon yesterday on reconciliation. Because of Christ and His death on the cross we are no longer slaves to sin and death. We are now His ambassadors. As we move toward the miracle of Easter, we can be filled with His love and forgiveness each and every day. We can show His love to others, and not be hesitant to say where our love comes from.
I pray that I may grow closer and closer to Christ through this Lenten season- more and more thankful for God’s love and forgiveness. Amen

2 Corinthians 5:21
Lucado discusses the power of the Cross as an image of Christianity. In this era of anti-Christian bigotry among pampered elites, their condescending attitude trickles down to the culture at large to the point where people are “triggered” by seeing this symbol displayed in public. The association these terrified non-believers make with the Cross is everything bad they perceive Christians have done as opposed to what Jesus did for even them who spit on Him. Christians are called to push back against these misconceptions, not with strident, aggressive or hurtful actions, but with the love Jesus showed with His outstretched arms on the Cross.

2 Corinthians 5:21
I've always loved our two wooden crosses at Hillside. One hangs above the Altar and the other was homemade for the church and is large and sits on the main floor. Right now it has a purple cloth drape and soon will have Easter flowers at it's base. I have always loved that our churches use the "empty" cross as it represents our "Risen Savior." Although I called it an empty cross, I know it is filled with Love for us. Let us never forget that.
Prayer: Gracious God, your sacrifice and love are just amazing. Thank you. AMEN

2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
When I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, I was born again, I understood why his sacrifice for dying on the cross was for punishment of my sins. It is a gift from God it comes by faith . Since it is a gift it cannot be earned or deserved. The righteousness of God, means we have had our sins cleansed by Jesus. This means all of our past sins, and all of our present and future sins that we have as…
