Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
This passage brought me right back to a conversation from last night in Transformers. We talked about God's promise to be with us always, and to give us strength and wisdom to see possibilities for ourselves. In specific, God gives us a way out of any temptation or choice we may struggle with. But, we need to ask for help and listen and look for God's response. We know it is not always easy to see. In addition, I must trust God to help me, and not just push my way through things without asking for help.
Holy Father, it is one thing to ask for help, but it is taking a step further to trust the help to come. It is about my faith in you. As my faith grows deeper and stronger, so does my trust. I am so thankful. Amen

Proverbs 3:5–6 Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God‘s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. I chose the Message translation this morning because I loved it’s take on verse six. Listen – that was the key word for me today. I know I talk and pray all the time. What I need to do more is to listen. Sometimes, actually often, I listen to my own voice without waiting to hear God’s voice. I need to slow down and trust that if I listen I will hear God’s voice as my guide. He does a better job tha…
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.
Trusting in God begins by believing in Jesus Christ for eternal salvation. When I trust Him, I am acknowledging that salvation is found in no one else. We get to know God more as we spend more time in prayer and Bible study. The more I know about God, the more I understand and love Him. The more I love Him, the more I learn to trust in Him alone. It provides me the wisdom to make decisions on everything I say or do.
Dearest Lord, you are always…

Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding , in all your ways acknowledge him And he will direct your path.
God wants us to trust him. I found in my younger years that I was afraid of God, that he could never love me, and so how in the world could I ever trust him. Because of this I tried to come up with reasons and answers to my every day problems on my own.. I never knew what to do. You could say I was “lost” God wasn’t asking me to understand or try to solve it on my own, he wanted me to trust him. I…
Proverbs 3:5-6
There is a scene in “The Emperor’s New Groove“ where Kuzco and Pacha are trying to escape from a very dangerous situation. Escape seems to be impossible and Kuzco is ready to give up but Pacha sticks out his huge hand and says very slowly, “You’ll just have to trust me.” This is the kind of trust I envision in Solomon’s admonition to trust in the Lord. This kind of trust supersedes “our own understanding.” Some may question the wisdom of retiring at 61 to attend seminary, but I trusted the call when it came. I must continue to trust that God has a plan for the path that was taken, even when it starts to look like…
