1 Corinthians 1:26-27
Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
I find these verses very reassuring. I am often frustrated by my "ordinariness". I wonder why I was not given more strengths to work with. But at the same time I am obliged to do the best that I can with what I have. I know this: God did call me at an early age to follow Him. I need to listen to Him, and follow His direction. I was created to be a follower and a disciple. God does not make mistakes.
Holy Lord, lead me to do and to be all that you have planned. I am so thankful for your grace and your love. Amen

1 Corinthians 1:26-27
If we are listening, God has a call on each of our lives. God will equip us with what we require to answer the divine call. I always liked the aphorism, “God does not call the equipped. God equips the called.” The roster of players cited by Roz is proof positive that there are no elaborate credentials required to serve God in mighty ways. Have faith. Listen. Act.
Prayer - Here I am, Lord. It is I, Lord. I have heard You, calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart. Send me. TAA
1 Corinthians 1:26–27

Not only that, he often chose the forgotten and the castaways of society. Who did he choose to spread the word of Jesus birth? Lowly shepherds from the field. What did they do, they spread the word.Luke 2:17–18.Then, think of the woman at the well. An outcast, but not to Jesus and what did she do? She listened and spread the word. John 4:28–30. I also listen and then do my best to honor him in someway.

1 Corinthians 1:26-27
For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong.
This reminds me of the study we did several years ago, using Max Licado’s study, “what in the world am I here for”. When I never want to feel discouraged because I I remember that God has intentionally chosen both you and I for his very own purpose. This was hard for me to grasp, because I always felt like su…
