Isaiah 32:17
The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.
This verse reassures me so. Sometimes my faith is not as strong as I would like. I worry about too many things. This verse reminds me of the times I make the right decision, and do the right thing. I know God is pleased at those times, and I have an assurance in my heart that can only come from the Holy Spirit. Communication with God is difficult for me sometimes, but I am so thankful for the times it is loud and clear.
Holy Father, help me to live a righteous life, and to make good, Godly decisions. When I live a righteous life, you give me assurance. I am thankful. Amen

Assurance means freedom from doubt. By taking God’s Word to heart, you can have no doubt about the reality of your eternal salvation.
The beautiful truth of Isaiah 32:17 is that peace comes as we live out the righteousness of Christ, that God knows the quality of our lives at the moment of salvation. When I see my numerous weaknesses and feel my helplessness to be strong on my own, it pushes me to search out and trust Christ’s promise to me. I find assurance in this verse. The assurance that if we are at peace in Christ Jesus, we will find everlasting peace with Him in heaven. Jesus will return to earth and take all who have chosen to follow Him home. All who follow Christ will be forgiven their sins and granted eternal life.
Dearest Lord, thanks you for the truth and assurance I read in your Book. Thank you for sending your son Jesus so that all our sins are forgiven. May the peace of Jesus Christ warm our hearts as we are granted forgiveness for all who believe. In…
Isaiah 32:17
The old adage, “It is better to give than to receive,” applies here. All of us have experienced the peace and confidence of knowing deep inside we have done the right thing for the right reasons. It is almost as if we can hear the voice of God saying, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Contrast that with the anxiety and distress of carrying around the burden of knowing one has violated the precepts of faith to gain an advantage or obtain a coveted bauble. A person striving for righteousness feels that tension, and with prayer, support of and accountability to like-minded believers, we can gain assurance on our journey.
Prayer - Righteous One, instill in…
