John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:26
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them.
These verses are so familiar to us. What do I learn from them today? We have been studying reconciliation, and these are perhaps the greatest summation of this concept to be found. This Lenten season has been full of new ideas and insights for me. Not because of any special abilities on my part, but because of the opportunities there have been to meet and talk with others about Christ. It has been a season of more commitments than usual, but the "payoff" has been great. God wants us to gather and to draw closer to Him. He sent his Son to teach us, and his Holy Spirit to guide us. He wants us all reconciled to Him.
Holy One, please lead me and guide me. Help me to gain new insights which will continue my transformation. Help me to see ways to be kind and loving throughout the day, every day. Thank you for your many gifts and for your grace. Amen

This verse may be the most well-known and memorized verse in the Bible. It is often the very first verse young children learn .( as I did) Many new believers become familiar with it in their new relationship with Jesus. For some, this verse motivated them to give their life to Jesus and follow him. What happens to the hearts and minds of s…
John 3:16-17, 26
Reconciliation shares no space with condemnation. When I forgive, God’s will is that it is the way Jesus modeled forgiveness. We are rapidly approaching our annual walk through Holy Week with its vivid reminder of what Jesus did to reconcile us to God. I pray to take from it a renewed commitment to the holy work of reconciliation where it is needed.
Prayer - Open my eyes, Lord to dark places in my life and relationships that need reconciliation. Guide me to forgive and seek forgiveness that shine the light of Your peace. Amen
