Romans 8:6
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
When I first read this, I was bothered by it, and the word “death” in particular. But now when I read it again, I see its truth for me. If I allow my own earthly matters to dictate my life, there is no end to my troubles other than death. When I allow my life to be lead by the Holy Spirit, and my dreams and actions are led by Him, I am at peace. I have been promised eternal life by my Creator. I cannot ignore the needs of this earth, and God does not want me to ignore another’s needs, or my own. But I must turn myself over to Him.
Holy One, I am yours. Help me to remember to turn my thoughts to you whenever I feel drawn in to the chaos of this daily earthly battle. I can do better. Amen

Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
Believing in Jesus brings me peace. It gives me a shoulder to lean on in times of trouble. It is in knowing what Jesus did for us that brings that serenity that all will be well, if we believe in Him. The Holy Spirit is the conduit that helps us understanding and follow Christ to God the Father.
Dearest Lord, the Holy Spirit brings peace of mind to all who believe. Your grace and understanding gives me strength. I thank you for all you have given me in this life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Romans 8:6
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Children don't learn to walk immediately. They crawl for a while, before they are able to walk confidently. Even teenagers and adults lose our balance and fall once in a while. As I/we continue in our spiritual maturity being lead by the holy spirit we learn to walk in the light. it becomes a habit, a way of life. More and more we find ourselves aware of this change rather than in the old darkness. Our thoughts are changing , It's gradual. It doesn't happen overnight. But it does happen. Even wh…
Romans 8:6 There seems to be a reflexive resistance to have our minds governed by anything other than ourselves. When I fall into this way of thinking, I inevitably end up saying to myself, “Well, how did that work out for you?” Yielding governance of one’s mind to the Holy Spirit is surrender of a kind, but takes discipline. The spiritual disciplines of being in the Word, prayer, worship and others help me bring my mind to the place where the Holy Spirit and not my sinful nature serve as Governor. In eternal life, the Governor has rescinded my death sentence.
Prayer - Holy Spirit, I pray that You would always be the Governor of my mind. Help me to follow…
Romans 8:6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. We make life hard sometimes, but it is really simple. Let the Holy Spirit into your mind and heart. Let the Holy Spirit control your actions, and you will find a better life and peace. So many of us think we are in control, but this often leads us in a sinful direction. Give up control to the Holy Spirit and you will find a more peaceful life. Prayer: gracious God, help me to give up control and let you guide my actions always. Amen
