Galatians 6:4-5
Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load. Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
These passages are not super-clear to me this morning. But I can certainly relate to the temptation to compare myself and my work to others and their accomplishments. What a useless habit that is! I answer to God for my choices and my behavior. I must always be open to good instruction from others, but it is my responsibility to make the right choices.
Holy Father, you are my teacher and my guide. Show me the right way to do all things. Amen

These two verses express to me that I should never compare myself to anyone. I should pay attention to my own responsibilities knowing that one day I will stand in judgement to give an account of the life I lived while on earth. Galatians 6:4-5
I envision Paul’s lesson as an orchestra playing a complex piece of music. Each of us has a specific role to play in the symphony of life and bear sole responsibility to carry that out to the best of our ability. When we are in harmony with others in the orchestra, the conductor, and by extension all who hear are sharing in the beauty and pleasure of what is intended by the Composer.
Prayer - Composer God, help me to me in tune with Your earthly orchestra as we, together in unity, point the world to the source of joy. Amen
