Genesis 9:3
Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
God provides everything we need to survive- the food, the water, the air we breathe. It is such a complex creation- each part in some way depending on other parts to exist. But God's creation of man does seem to be the centerpiece. All of the rest of God's creation is ours to enjoy and take care of. God provides all we need to survive in this world. It is up to us to protect it and take care to respect that incredible gift.
Holy Lord, May I never take your creation for granted. You have given me absolutely everything and I have done little to deserve it. Lord I am thankful. Amen

This is a perfect example how God provides for us and everything is from God. How blessed are we. Are we thankful? Are we appreciative? Are ready to accept the grace and gifts we get daily???

Genesis 9:3 “I now give you everything.” This is the definitive word on the provision of God. As Becky pointed out, with that incredible gift comes the responsibility to care for it. In doing so we demonstrate our love and respect for the Giver. Our history of stewardship of the earth is not a good one, but as they say in the commercials for investment products, “past performance is no guarantee of future results.” Christians can Join in solidarity with other world religions that take creation care seriously to stem the tide of or even reverse damage we have done.
