2Corinthians 3:13-18
We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
This is the same veil that in ancient days covered the Holy of Holies, separating God from a sinful people. We know this veil was torn in two when Jesus was crucified. I wonder if there are sometimes still barriers that can cover our hearts and keep us from God; not veils put in place by God, but veils of our own making. I know that in my own faith journey there are times when I feel held back, or separated from God. Scripture tells me that when I pursue God, He is already turning to me. I must push aside any veils that may have appeared, keeping me from God.
Holy Lord, help me to remove any barriers keeping me from you. Doubt, fear, anxiety, sin; all can hold me back from experiencing your glory and faithfulness. Help me, Lord, I pray.

2 Corinthians 3:13-18
2 Corinthians 3:18
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
This verse is telling us to go from acting improperly to acting properly. discard our improper (deceitful) ways of our previous life style and be continually renewed in our minds (Romans 12:2) For me it was impossible to get from wrong behavior to right behavior without accepting God as my personal savior, by changing my thoughts ,by continually reading God’s word, by relying on…
2 Corinthians 3:13-18
Without Christ we are “veiled”. Once the veil is removed and we can see, we can be transformed. As we draw closer to God the more we are transformed, we see God more clearly and we become more Christ-like. It is an ongoing process.
Heavenly Father, please help me to stay unveiled, to see You clearly and live my life transformed. Amen
2Corinthians 3:13-18
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” This passage on being transformed is a perfect way to conclude this week’s readings for the Transformers. Becky signs off each of her posts as “transforming.” This is the process each of us is seeking as we share our reflections on Scripture each morning. This ongoing transformation is the only one that will bring peace and contentment into our lives. Life without the Spirit of God looks to me to be without hope, meaning or purpose. Does our ongoing transformation convey that truth to those who do not kno…
