Micah 7:18
Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.
When you love someone, you can’t stay angry forever. At some point, forgiveness and mercy take anger’s place. It is mind-boggling to imagine the extent of God’s forgiveness and mercy. I may struggle with forgiving one or two people who have injured me in the past. God created everything and everyone, and every person alive and gone has sinned, and wronged God. God’s example of forgiveness and mercy is the ideal.
Holy Father, I am grateful for your mercy and continual love, despite my sins which must anger you, at least a little. I am sorry for my sins, for the times I have been hurtful to others. I will try to be quicker to forgive, more ready to show mercy, whenever I begin to feel angry. Amen

Micah 7:18 When we so love someone who is suffering, we wish we could suffer instead of them. You want to take some of their suffering so that their pain would be relieved. Your heart goes out to them. you sympathize, you love, your heart breaks. You do the best you can for them, but it seems too little. God feels these emotions as well. But God is not helpless. He not only has compassion on us when we suffer, but He also gives us the strength we need to deliver us from it. It gives him pleasure to show mercy. It delights Him. It gives Him the greatest joy.God does not have a cold heart. He has great sympathy fo…
Micah 7:18 This is the god new Christians (and old) should know. Our God is a loving God – quick to forgive our sins. All we have to do is acknowledge our sins. so he can then show us his love. There is no other God like him! Prayer gracious God thank you for your love and forgiveness. May we be more like you. Amen

God cannot tolerate sin. We all do things that are not right and displease God. We cannot escape sin and God does not accept sin. So God gets angry. He will punish the evil and wickedness of people. However, God shows great love for us. He will always forgive us if we repent. God shows us His mercy, grace and love in His forgiveness of our sins.
Dearest Lord, thank you for your love. Your unconditional love and forgiveness is greatly appreciated and welcome. In Jesus name…
Micah 7:18
Micah captures an important feature of mercy. God finds it a delight to show mercy. If we let the Holy Spirit guide us over the hump of anger, resentment or whatever negative feelings we have over what our transgressor has done, we can share in that delight. Mercy, forgiveness and restoration is like lancing a boil or flipping the pressure release valve on your Instant Pot. It is part of becoming transformed in the image of Christ.
Prayer - In awe and wonder, we still ask, “Who is a God like You?” Help us, Lord to find the delight in mercy that You have modeled for us. Let mercy replace retribution or revenge in all our interactions, promoting…
