2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
I have believed in Christ since childhood- I don't remember a "before". I have to credit my parents with that, bringing me up with church and Sunday school as an expected and dependable part of my life. Church was always there, was never cancelled or closed. I grew up knowing God and believing in Jesus Christ. Because I don't remember a "before", it is impossible to talk about experiencing that change. But at the same time, I have been working to change myself, and to become a better Christian. This season of my life (in particular) has been focused on change. This is my season of transformation.
Holy Lord, help me to change, to clearly see your more perfect way; to handle difficulties and to interact with others in a Godly manner. I need your guidance every day, every moment. Amen
Becky, transforming
2 Corinthians 5:17
My life has been very similar to what Becky described earlier. There has always been belief in Christ and a church of believers watching out for me as a young person, and encouraging me as an adult. I guess the change in me has been to become more involved in outreach ministry. I most enjoy storytelling to my nursing home friends. While I have not become a “new” person, I have become one that is more likely to share my faith with others.
Prayer: Gracious God, I am so thankful for the skills you have equipped me with that allows me to share your life and stories with others. Amen

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
We have been made new creations through Christ. We're called to walk by faith and not by sight; to live for Christ and not for ourselves. The old saying that you can't go home is true. The reason it's true is that our ideas, our perceptions, our experiences, even our taste buds have all changed. Our ways have changed and so have everyone else's. None of us are what we remember. And to me that's Good News, and many folks have risen far above what they once were. Paul says anyon…
2 Corinthians 5:17 This verse has a special place in my memory. I attended a “graduation” ceremony at His Mansion in Hillsboro-Deering a few years ago, and this was the theme verse. Five young people, for whom I still pray regularly, gave their victory testimonies that day, having completed a year of intense discipling. They were committing their new lives to Christ after years of substance abuse, prostitution and other behaviors that kept them separated from God. Not everyone’s story is as dramatic, but regardless of how one accepts Jesus, this is the most important decision of one’s life.
Prayer - Jesus, my decision was made long ago, but I still need Your Holy Spirit power to stay in the new…
