Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his Glory in Christ Jesus.
I believe we are blessed when we bless others. In this passage, Paul thanks the people for supporting him when he was in need. Paul is not able to repay them in kind, but he knows God sees all they have done. Many (most?) of our blessings come purely from God’s grace. We don’t have to do good deeds to receive God’s blessings. Just waking up in the morning and breathing is a blessing I am trying to acknowledge each day. When we help others, we can be assured that we are pleasing God. I need to remember this.
Holy Lord, I will follow you all of my days. Thank you for the gifts and blessings you shower on me. I will try my best to be worthy. I love you, Lord. Amen

Philippians 4:19
If you read this carefully, you see the word needs. Not wants, not desires, not riches. It makes me wonder where this prosperity gospel comes from. Jesus was such a humble man. He never talked about material things. Our blessings come in the form of love from our savior and Lord—not from mansions and fancy cars.
Prayer: Gracious God, I have been blessed with much. You know I appreciate what I have and I try to share it. Amen

Philippians 4:19
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Paul—who was in prison at the time was thanking the Philippians for abundantly and generously providing for his needs. They helped him when no one else did. He was thankful, but his message also reminds me that I should learn to be content in all situations, whether I have only basic needs or plenty. Because I can rely on God, who will never let me down. This verse is also a promise that God will never forsake those who seek Him. He will provide for our financial, physical, and spiritual needs. When we are generous i…
Philippians 4:19
God’s riches, and thus our blessings, are inexhaustible. From watching hummingbirds at the feeder to safe travel to and from Annual Conference to a good night’s rest tonight, all are blessings to be savored and for which I give thanks. This is not to mention the countless blessings throuout the day as it unfolds. Avidly looking for God’s blessings makes them much easier to find.
Prayer - Loving God, thank you for this new day and all the blessings it holds, stemming from Your incalculable riches in Christ Jesus. Amen
