Philippians 1:4-6
In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Because of our free will, we always have the choice to ignore God's calling, or turn away from an opportunity to grow closer to Him. But our security, our assurance, is always there. The closer I can grow to God, the more I will hear his voice, and the more secure I will be in my faith. Paul reminds us that God is the constant. God will provide all the security and confidence we need to move closer to him.
Holy One, your loving grace is all I need and more. Help me to live out the life you would have me live. I know that I am secure in your love. Amen

Philippians 1:4–6
Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the good news about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. And I am certain that God, who began a good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Paul speaks of joy. What a wonderful way to think of someone – with joy. Joy for who they are and what they do. My hope is that someone, someday will think of me that way. To that end, I will continue to do all I do with God’s guidance and grace.

Philippians 1:4-6 Paul reminds us that praying for our brothers and sisters in the family of God is as important as praying for others to join us. God has begun a good work in every believer and we have the security of knowing it will be carried on to completion when we see Christ. This security warrants a joyful prayer of thanksgiving.
Prayer - Thank You, Lord, for the gift of salvation. I pray with and for all who follow Christ with joy in the knowledge that in the fullness of time You will complete the miraculous work You began in us at our salvation. Amen
