Romans 10: 4-13
verses 9-13: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
There are so many unknowns/questions in this life. Am I making the right choice here? Is this the life God wants me to be leading? Should I speak up or should I remain silent? Am I really listening to God and his desires for me? In contrast to these questions, there is a certain answer. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” I will continue to call on God to lead me, and will trust Him to show me the way.
Father God, when I feel lost, you shine your light on my path. I am so thankful, because I need that light. Amen

Romans 10: 4-13
Verses 9-13
When I was younger, I always wanted to know what it meant to be a Christian. What did I have to do to be saved. These verses give us the beautiful answer. Salvation is as close as our own mouth and heart . I thought it would be a complicated process, but it is not..I learned I had to believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Christ is the risen Lord, and I would be saved. Christians will never be put to shame or be disappointed. There will be times when people will put us down because of our belief. God will keep his promise, those who call on him will b…
Romans 10: 4-13
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
I believe that Jesus is my Lord. I believe that God the Father raised him from the dead. So simple and yet so profound. I am saved because I believe. What a great gift. Believing is so easy, it doesn’t seem like it should be that simple. God can be difficult to understand some times, but what is not difficult to understand is His great love for us. He made it simple, believe and you shall have eternal life. Not difficult to do for me.
Dearest Lord, I believe in you…
Romans 10:10 - “For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.”
Paul describes two steps to be taken in the direction of eternal life. Belief is necessary but not sufficient. As James wrote, “even the demons believe and tremble.” The essential next step is our surrender to the kingdom of God. We must confess that Jesus is not only Savior, but also Lord of our lives. I am learning with a great measure of sadness and confusion how many groups of people who say they are Christian, and fervently promote their concept of Christianity, do not believe this to be true. I cannot think for others or interpret…
