Psalm 91:1-8
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
This is another example from scripture of reassurance from God. No matter what happens, God is with us. He is our constant companion. Ultimately, the victory is ours, in Jesus. When we are overwhelmed, God will send us a lifeline. “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge…” Today, and every day, I am so thankful to God for providing His companionship, protection and guidance. Where would I be without Him?
Holy Lord, today I acknowledge I am nothing without you. I humbly ask you to help me to lead others to you. May I be an example of your love, to others. Help me hold my irritation and impatience in check, turning negatives aside and focusing on positives whenever possible. In Jesus loving name I pray, Amen

I Will Give You Rest
(Focus People Kept Awake By Worries.
Today’s Reading Psalm,91:1-8
Psalm 91:1
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
This shelter is a place of rest with God, by making his presence our daily, permanent home. In this shelter with God we are in a place of most high. whose power the enemy cannot successfully achieve, because peace exists and worry is eliminated. by making God's presence our daily prayer, It is a private place when we are hurting and overwhelmed or when we just want closeness with God. We can rely on and trust him completely. Like the author…
Psalm 91:1-8. I will give you rest
This is another beautiful Psalm meant to comfort and reassure us of God’s presence. The very beautiful hymn “On Eagles Wings” is based on several verses of Psalm 91. It is one of my favorites. Although, often performed at funerals, I think we should sing it more often as a reminder that God is never far from us and we are never far from his protection.
Prayer: Gracious God, how blessed we all are to have composers who use your words so perfectly. AMEN
Psalm 91:1-8
Like today’s Upper Room contributor, I sometimes find sleep difficult when I carry the distractions of the day past and worries about the day ahead into bed with me. The famous Serenity Prayer can sometimes cut through the noise and allow sleep. Psalm 91 makes clear that there will be plenty of trouble today, tomorrow and beyond. I cannot lose sight of the fact that God is sovereign and God’s will is what will ultimately
prevail. I must only seek to control my individual assignment in this vast web of human interactions. As Bev reminds us, my best will be enough.
Prayer - Lord Jesus, You tell those who love and follow You, “Take heart, I have overcome…
