Ecclesiastes 3:1
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
This partial sentence gives us an idea of the enormity and complexity of God’s plan and the passage of time. What follows in this chapter are very well-known verses. All kinds of things happen in this world and closer to home, in our lives. God will see us through each and every one of these things, and is our guide and our teacher through it all. Time will dish it out, and God does not change.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. I am truly thankful, Amen.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
This verse explains that everything changes and that God has a certain timing for the changes in our lives. The differences we encounter won’t last forever and even the good things that we enjoy may not stay the same forever. . It is important that we learn to adapt ourselves to the season of change. Whatever exists in our lives now, or in the future will be temporary. Difficulties give ways to success and good times become better. Understanding and accepting these changes are part of our spiritual maturity. The timing and the changes will bring us joy, sometimes they…
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Everything in our lives is merely a season, our very lives in fact. It is like our vegetable gardens, every harvest has its season, some good and some, not so great, but as it is said, it is not about the harvest, it’s about the joy of the journey. I hope the journey through my season is meaningful and reflects God’s love. That would be a lovely harvest for those I love and care about.
Heavenly Father, thank you for the blessings you have given me during my season here on earth as I await my final season in paradise. Amen
Ecclesiastes 3:1
What follows this verse is one of the most accurate lists of what our lives might be like. Life can hand us just about anything, good or bad. The wisdom to understand this helps us navigate the, sometimes, harsh realities of life and, hopefully, be thankful for all that is good. Wisdom is what Solomon asked God for and he has passed it on to us. We need just read our Bibles to understand.
Prayer: Gracious God, Thank you for Solomon's wisdom. It has guided me for many years. AMEN
Ecclesiastes 3:1
The third chapter of Ecclesiastes gives us the definitive depiction of Go’ds plan in the context of the time we have been given. Folk singer, Pete Singer based his song “Turn, turn, turn” on this passage and the Byrds made it famous. At the time it was probably the most memorized Scripture by children and teens in the world, even though they may not have known they had memorized a Bible passage. Wouldn’t it be great to have God decide it is time for this to happen again, resulting in a measure of spiritual renewal in our young people?
