A daily prayer from the New England Conference
The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Loving and gracious God, we have tired hands and weak knees from our sins. Our hearts are fearful from the uncertain future. Our eyes are blinded by our own political agenda and hate. We are like the parched ground in the desert without hope. Could we ever be turned into green pastures and a land overflowing with milk and honey? Lord, help us to know that the living water, Jesus is already among us. In drinking from the living water, our drooping hands and knees can be strengthened again! In hearing this living water flowing, we can find eternal peace and forgiveness. In the living water, the cracked ground can be re-watered and overflowing with life again. Please, make us come to the living water, Jesus and let us drink it. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
Based on Isaiah 35: 3-7a
