Daily Prayer

August 27, 2021 A daily prayer from the New England Conference The clergy and laity of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions. Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23 Today's Prayer Lord, how easy it is for our hearts To be far from you While we honor you with our lips Inside are the ugly things Inside are the unmentionable things Inside are the covered up things That You see with your X-Ray vision Inside are the selfish things That block the flow of Self sacrificing Love Inside are the toxic things Lord, open my heart And do the surgery, the cleansing, The healings That I need to eradicate the things That keep me far from You From Your Love, From others. Amen Pastor Jim Mello, Dover-Foxcroft UMC, Atkinson UMC & Park St UMC
