A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Ever loving God, you have given us this treasure of faith. We have locked it away as something we need to protect even from ourselves. It is meant to give us assurance as we hope for the renewal of our world. Our faith is what should be seen and not hidden. Teach us again to live out our faith in all that we do in our lives. May the treasure of faith be stored in our hearts to shine out in our actions and our words. Remind us again that there is no limit to what our faith can accomplish in your love. May we set aside all the reasons we have kept our faith locked away. May we discover a living faith in Jesus that informs our life today. Help us to dust off our bibles and read the words with the hope of that living faith. May we be those who are born anew as Christ’s grace flows into and through our lives today and always. It is in Christ’s name that we pray. Amen.
