A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Lord, your word tells us that if we are wise, we will remember how your faithful love has redeemed us. Lord, we need redemption. We live in a fallen world and though we try to do what is right and just, we often fail. it is easy to be greedy, selfish, unforgiving, and self-indulgent. For a time, we can look the other way from our own sin but eventually, it catches up to us and then Lord, we recognize how sinful we have been. If we are wise, we will cry out to you for forgiveness, knowing you love us with an everlasting love. Thank you Lord, for your love, and your grace. It feels so good to be close to you once more. Amen  By Rev. Dr. Jacquelyn Brannen, Katahdin District Superintendent Hosea 11:1-11 Psalm 107:1-9, 43 Luke 12:13-21
