A daily prayer from the New England Conference
Members of the New England Conference Extended Cabinet are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week.
You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today's Prayer
Teach us to pray … Jesus, so often I cannot come up with the words to pray Terminal diagnosis of a loved one Devastating earthquake halfway across the world
Children dying of starvation in Somalia
Teach us to pray … When we attempt to pray we honor God’s holy name,
We welcome your Kin-dom Give us what we need for today, not too much, not too little
Teach us to pray … Help us in the difficult tasks of life
To forgive and to be forgiven To let go of past hurts
To not enter the time of trial
Teach us to pray … Help us to know what to pray for
To ask not for our wants, but our deepest needs
To find what we are looking for To have doors opened to us
Teach us to pray … We know that God gives good gifts. May we be open to receiving them. Amen.
